Sub: Disruption of operation due to flood / fire at our Factory situated at Khapoli, Maharashtra on 20.04.2013
We refer to Clause 36 of the Listing Agreement with Stock Exchange and accordingly inform the following:
We would like to intimate you that there was an incidence of flood / fire occurred in the DRI Division of our Factory situated at Khapoli, Maharashtra on Sunday, the 20th April, 2013. Preliminary survey reveals that the equipment and machineries in that room have been damaged by the fire.
As a result, about half of the manufacturing process has got disrupted. However, other half of the process from the semi-finished goods is in operation and will continue till stocks last, which is estimated for about a week’s time. Thereafter, the entire operations of the factory will get stopped. It is estimated that it may take around 8 weeks to start normal operations.
The entire plant and machinery including building is adequately covered under Insurance with LIC and information to that effect has been given to them. We are expecting their senior Personnel/Surveyor to assess the losses incurred. This is for your information.
