Mesothelioma:-
Mesothelioma is more preciously known as Malignant Mesothelioma. It’s a very rare form of cancer which develops from cells of Mesothelium. Mesothelium is the protecting lining which covers most of our internal organs.
In USA & Europe Mesothelioma is mainly cause due to exposure to Asbestos. The Most common forms of Mesothelioma is Pleura (Cancer on the outer lining of the lungs and internal chest wall), Peritoneum (Cancer on the lining of the abdominal cavity), Pericardium (Cancer On the sac that surrounds the heart) & tunica Vaginalis (Cancer on a sac that surrounds the testis).
In USA especially in Massachusetts (including Attleboro, Bedford, Boston, Cambridge, Lincoln, Millbury, Reading, Springfield, Worcester) Mesothelioma is very common in people who work in places where they inhale asbestos fibers or airborne asbestos dust. Unlike lung cancer there seems to be no association between mesothelioma and tobacco smoking, but smoking increases the risk of other asbestos-induced cancers.
