We refer to Clause 36 of the Listing Agreement with Stock Exchange and accordingly inform the following:
We would like to intimate you that there was an incidence of flood / fire occurred in the DRI Division of our Factory situated at Khapoli, Maharashtra on Sunday, the 20th April, 2013. Preliminary survey reveals that the equipment and machineries in that room have been damaged by the fire.
As a result, about half of the manufacturing process has got disrupted. However, other half of the process from the semi-finished goods is in operation and will continue till stocks last, which is estimated for about a week’s time. Thereafter, the entire operations of the factory will get stopped. It is estimated that it may take around 8 weeks to start normal operations.

If Materials under transit gets damaged due to different reasons, we are supposed to inform the Insurance Company & its our duty to provide required information/data/documents to the Surveyor appointed by the Insurance Company under the transit insurance Policy.
While intimating to the Regional office of the Insurance Company in your City as well as to the transporter, you are required to have information/documents viz ready with you.
i) Copy of Invoice/Challan
ii) Copy of L/R
iii) Copy of FIR, if lodged
iv) Photographs taken
v) Assessment sheet of loss
As mentioned above, a letter must be issued to the transporter alleging him for the losses that incurred during transit; the loss should be quantified properly. This letter should be receipted with legible seal and signature, if sent by post, then NO COURIERS ARE TO BE USED but only by registered post with A/D (Draft copy of letter annexed as ‘A’).
Further, the letter sent to the local insurance company must contain information about the mishap in brief. Subsequently, a request to be made to appoint a Surveyor to inspect the damages. Date, place and time should also be given. Our representative should be present with the Surveyor, helping him to show all the damaged boards and making the exact loss assessment (Draft copy of letter annexed as ‘B’).
From our past experience, it is noticed that due to incomplete papers, we cannot recover our claims in full. Hence, all are advised to intimate Mr Sachin Talwar at Head Office about all the progress and developments regarding any loss, so that in future we can improve upon recovery levels.

Whenever you need coverage of Insurance towards imported consignments or Fuel in transit, you are being advised to provide the information well in advance preferably 5 days along with the copies of the following documents:
Process Flow For The Lodgement Of An Insurance Claim for Transit Damage
STEPS INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS
1) A letter from your branch office to be issued to the local branch of the transporter for to hold them responsible for the Loss of value of your consignment as they have not taken adequate protections to safeguard our material from Rain Water, Damages etc. In this letter tentative quantum of loss should be specified which should be higher than the actual loss; that will be subsequently incorporated in the claim bill.
2) A letter from your branch office should be issued to the local office of Insurance Company/ Respective Insurance Company, informing about the truck/shipment Incident /Accident & Losses incurred there in.
